Missouri Winery | The Terrace at French Village

A visit to The Terrace at French Village is a veritable walk back in time. Completing the northern tip of the Ozark Highland Triangle, The winery stands in the old Werner Home built 130 years ago. The unspoiled landscape on which The Terrace winery is now built hearkens back to those simpler time.

The rollings hills, surrounding forests, and farmland give the impression you have been transported back in time.
However, the focal point of the predominantly outdoor venue is the beautiful, 150 foot waterfall, sprawling wooden decks for which the venue has been named. The concept behind The Terrace at French Village was simply to create a friendly yet upbeat atmosphere where guests could enjoy live music and our wonderful wines.

Vintage Vines – The Wine making Tradition

Harold Werner and his father planted his vineyard in the early 1890s. Every year, he proudly crafted 75 to 150 gallons of wine in his cellar, sharing freely with friends, family and neighbors – and leaving his mark on southern Missouri history with a legacy of winemaking. Remarkably, a row of Werner’s historic grape vines survives today – and are still producing grapes – at The Terrace at French Village. The winery remains true to Werner’s passion for quality wine, and is a testament to the great pride the founder took in his vines.

You can taste that same passion in the fine sweet red, Moscato, Chardonel, Riesling and Norton, plus a selection of beers served at The Terrace. Savor a sip or two with delicious fresh fare from our kitchen, or just kick back and enjoy the view!
